Hello everyone!!
I'm back! So, Flergs came up with the idea for a St. Patty's Day blog train and I jumped on it! I love St. Patty's Day. When I was younger, it meant my birthday was the next day and the love hasn't stopped. I'm not so much Irish, but it's fun!

Before we get to the goodies, let me show you a couple cool things:
1) Twilight Grabbag at SUN for only $3!!!! AND you have a chance to win next month's collab too- just by scrapping a page and letting us see it!

Hi everyone!!

You can probably see that it has been a loooooong while since I last posted. I'm a bad blogger. Oh well! Can't do everything!

So, why am I blogging today? You probably know and want the goodies!! But, you will have to wait just a second for those. I wanna show you a couple things first. I am down to only a few CTs now and I am going to show you some new stuff!!

Studio mgl:
Monica has come up with this AMAZING collection: Dreams in Color 2.0. It is stunning and HUGE! There are kits made with 12 different colors...you can buy the kits separately or get the whole collection!

Madame Wing:
Ale has had some beautiful kits out recently, but I love the grabbag! I can't tell you what's in it, but it has some great colors! AND it's only $3!!

Hello and welcome to my blog!! Let's talk about some cool things going on at SUN, then I'll give you a freebie!!
First, I hope you came from Stolen Moments blog. If you came from DigiFree or somewhere else, go there to start!

So SUN has been down for most of August due to a server upgrade. This means that SUN is super fast now!!! While we were down, some great things happened:
1. New designers: We have a bunch of new designers at SUN!! These girls are amazing! Some have their stores up already, some do not. Check back in the store though to see all of their awesome designs!
2. New challenges: Check out The Race Track for some changes and additions to our challenges. As the friendly challenge coordinator, I can tell you that I think these changes will be great!!
3. Scrap Idol: We are hosting Scrap Idol this month!! So, what is it? Check here for all the details, but pretty much we just want you to do lots of LOs and we'll give you prizes. I have designed something for every single level! That's a lot of designing for me. I hope you all join and help us make our gallery the busiest and best around!

Holidays for Heroes

Thanks for joining the CFH blog hop! If you don't know what I am talking about, please click here!

Many of you know that I am a digital scrapbooker. I do not like the mess or finality of paper scrapping...digi is clean (it's all on my comp) and I have an undo button! That being said, I am a crafter at heart. I love to get my hands dirty making something to give to someone. I have been able to combine these 2 loves with hybrid cardmaking. I take my digital supplies that are oh, so yummy and print them to use with traditional scrapping supplies to make cards.

I am not prolific at it. Have a 20 month old means not having a lot of crafting time. However, I keep at it for Cards for Heroes (www.cardsforheroes.org). I love this site. They take handmade blank cards and send them to our troops serving abroad to send home to family. I have been telling as many people as I can about this site so they get as many cards as my mouth can send them LOL.

Why does this hold a special place in my heart? My little sister is serving in Kuwait right now and I miss her terribly. Sure I get to email or chat, but not everyone can.

The holiday season is fast approaching. For CFH, the holiday season ends November 1st when holiday cards need to be to them. It's early because the cards need to be sent across the ocean twice before Christmas (once to the solidier and back to the US). Please take some time to send some Christmas cards (or any cards) to this very worthy cause.

Now....look what I made:

This card has 2 special things about it. One is it uses all digital supplies (MZ Hope from Studio Ziska and Studio mgl available at scrapbookgraphics.com) that I printed. The second is those supplies are non- Christmas themed.

I challenge you to use non-Christmas themed supplies to make a Christmas card. It really isn't as hard as you think. Paper piecing works wonders.

If you leave a comment, I will choose a few people to receive some digital goodies. If you've never digitally scrapbooked before, now will be your chance. If you are a paper scrapper through and through, you can still print the supplies to be used. It really is perfect for everyone!

Hi all! Sorry this is late! I'm in the lovely Hawai'i! Here is a photo (courtesty of oahu.org because I'm having too much fun to snap photos) of Waikiki Beach on Oahu Island! The beach is usually pretty crowded, but you do get to see a great view of Diamond Head for those that are interested!

Wow! I've been a bad blogger!

We watched the Superbowl at my parents' house. It was so cute to see my nephew and my son together! Since Ryan is only 5 months older than Dominick and running around, it was fun to see them. Since then, Dominick has decided he needs to walk and/or run everywhere! It is so funny. I guess he needed to see how it was done! LOL I have some great pics I can't wait to scrap.

My sister got her wedding photos back as well! My goodness she is beautiful! I now have more than 400 photos to scrap and I can't wait!!

Hello all! Just a quick post before bed. Tomorrow is the last day of school before holiday break and it will be an all day fun day! All day fun days are usually pretty tiring LOL!

Hi all!
What a busy busy week! Yesterday I was sick. I got a stomach bug that only lasted a few hours, but was nasty while it did last. Glad that's over!

What else? Well, ADSR registration began this week! Mary (Catlady of Catlady Designs) and I are going to be the Snowflake Mamas! I am so excited to play again and this time with someone I know really well! Check out our blinkie that I made- it's above my CTs. I am pretty proud of my work on that one and the gorgeous kit is Snowberry from Franziska Altmann.

I am proud to announce- at least I hope I can- that I have been asked to be part of the Polka Dot Plum CT!! These ladies are soooo incredibly talented and they are awesome! They sell at SUN and Scrap Orchard. Look for my new blinkie soon.

So, my sister got married yesterday. Yep, on Halloween. They actually pushed it off a year because Halloween was on a Wednesday last year and they wanted their wedding on a weekend. The bride was beautiful and the wedding was great! I can't wait to get my pics uploaded and scrap them!

Well, today was an at home day for me. I lost my voice while teaching derivatives yesterday in Calculus, and it wasn't back by this morning. So, I decided I needed to stay home, because I am useless as a teacher without a voice. It did return, but not until about 5 pm!

Hi everyone! I know- 2 posts in a week! But I have a fun fun fun weekend ahead in the scrapping world and want to tell you all about it!

Can you say Speed Scrap? Well, I can and I have 4 of them to attend/host this weekend!!!

Digital Scrap Garden is having it's first birthday party and DSG designer (and my good friend) Mary aka Catlady Designs and I are hosting 2 Speed Scraps to celebrate! These will be Friday, Sept 26 and Saturday Sept 27 at 10 EST which is 9 my time. I know there will be posting prizes cause I made some- hehe. Join us in the DSG chatroom to participate!

Also, the SUN weekly speed scrap will be Friday, Sept 29 at 11 EST which is 10 my time! SUN designer Kelly aka Greedz Graphics is hosting. We will be playing for points good toward SUN products and word on the street is that Kelly may have a little something as well......

Hi everyone!

I want to start by saying that I remember why I love teaching. It's hard and can be incredibly frustrating, but it is a great job to have! I have been teaching calculus and am having all kinds of fun with it!

Guess what! I am a member of a couple new teams! I have been accepted as part of Studio mgl's blog CT. Basically, we will keep a CT blog for her and I can't wait. Stay tuned for our grand opening! Also, her husband, Vasco of Moon Scraps, has accepted me as part of his CT! I've worked with Vasco since becoming a Wonder Girl since he is our fearless leader. What I LOVE about his work is that it isn't always traditional. Stay tuned for some LOs with his awesome kits.

We will have a new SUN challenge on Tuesday. Can't give you any hints, but it will be fun. Make sure you check in Tuesday at The Race Track for our awesome challenge. I can tell you that we have a speed scrap on Friday!

Hello everyone!

Can I just say that kids grow up too fast? My baby is 9 months old already *weep* He's pulling himself up on things and is gonna figure out walking very soon :( I want more time with my baby before he becomes a big boy! And my oldest step-son (who is 12) is losing more and more of his innocence- becoming a young man. I want my little ones back! I'm sure every mother (and most step-moms) can relate to this and have probably said it themselves.....

Well, on to scrapping news. Let's start with a new group I'm part of! Mega Doodle Inspired asked me to be on her product testing team! Our first assignment was a set of patterns and tutorials. First of all, Polka Dot Plum hosted a speed scrap last night and I completed it! Here is my LO using Sweet Afternoon, the September collab from SUN designers:

Yep, it's my baby boy. And, seriously, I've made so many LOs of him not doing anything that I've had to start naming them with his name and the kit name! That's how many photos I have! Poor kid!

Week one is done. The first week of school is always so hectic and this one was worse because we are in a different building. So, we have lots of changes... But it went pretty well and I'm having fun so far!

On to scrapping news....
Well, Ellie and Vasco's chat was postponed. Apparently Ellie's son got the chicken pox and had a fever, so they changed it to this Friday at noon PST. That's 2pm my time which is 10 min after school lets out for the day, so I'm going to be joining in from my classroom!

New Kits!
I'm going to start off with what I think is one of the most beautiful kits I've seen in a long, long time! I'm not usually into fall colors and themes, but the colors are so rich, that I can't help but adore this kit!

It's Autumn Breeze from Amanda Kay and as soon as I get my grubby little paws on it, I'll show you a LO or two!

Hi everyone!

Tomorrow, I am doing my first ever Speed Scrap. Well, I'm hosting my first ever speed scrap! WG Dani held one on Monday and I am doing one tomorrow at 10 EST which is 9 my time. I feel HORRIBLE!! Today, Dominick was sleeping on our bed with pillows on either side. He woke up and scooted his way to the edge of the bed and fell off :( See horrible mommy- I never should have left him sleeping on our bed and I should've checked in more often. He's fine, but mommy feels horrible....

Some good news, however, is that the schedule is set for SWW (Sunshine Wonder Week) and there is lots of cool stuff going on!

Wow! Twice in one week! I'm going crazy with the blogging!

End of a Wonder Week

Hi all!

It's been crazy around here! My step-sons are both home and we got my nephew for a week as well!

Our first ever Wonder Week is over. But not to worry, we'll be back next month with a new Wonder Week spotlighting a new collab! I can't wait to see what happens next month! If you participated, make sure you check out the thread to see if you won a prize! There were lots of them given out! Also, I hope everyone enjoyed the daily download last week. The alpha was mine and it was fun to make!

QP Olympics are also over for this round. If you missed it, don't worry! We are having another one and it looks like Monica (mgl scraps) is making our next kit!

Well, the first of many (hopefully!) Sunshine Wonder Weeks is here! This month, we are celebrating the Sunshine Collab kit Missing Yesterday. If you don't have it, you should definitely get it! Here is a preview and it's even linked to the store for your convenience.

So, I have entirely lost my mojo :( I have not made a page without a template in a long time. Thank goodness for templates and great kits! Anyway, I have a couple things to chat about!

A designer moves and A new class

You may have noticed that my Katie Mann blinkies are gone. I have not left her CT, but she left SOTB, so those blinkies weren't accurate anymore. Starting next week, I get to teach a digital scrapbooking class at my school again! This time I am even more prepared and getting ready to go. I even set up a forum just for my class! Autism awareness

I don't have anyone in my family who has autism. I have been touched by it through a few of my students who are on the autism spectrum. April is Autism Awareness Month.

One of my favorite designers, Pixel Gypsy, has put together a kit called Everyday Joy that she is giving to anyone who donates to Helping Hand. There is an element kit, 3 paper packs, an alpha, monograms, bracket frames, a badge album, mat templates and a set of 12x12 templates. She has set up different levels and at each level you get more of the kit. For more information and to see the kit go here.

Pi Day and some freebies

Well, it's been a while. We didn't have internet for a week- it was horrible!!

Pi Day celebrations at my school went great! We had a 3.14 mile run/walk/jog and the fastest student was 21 min 09 sec! Wow, they go fast!! In the afternoon, we had many math activities that the kids enjoyed.

You may not know this, but I teach math at a charter school in Minnesota. At our school, we believe that the kids should be exposed to learning that isn't one of the 3 R's. So, we have 4 weeks during the year that we set aside to teach the kids things we are interested in and have learned about. Next week, I get to teach about 20 kids digi-scrapping! I'm so excited!!

Some designers have given me permission to give their stuff to the kids to use for free and I'm also giving the kids some of my own creations.
